Commodity Sampler Services

Coffee sampling specialists · grading · tracking

Every sample. Every party. One scan.

We specialize in coffee. We draw samples from lots at US warehouses and ports, grade them, deliver them to buyers, traders and their labs, and track every number. We sample cocoa too. Each bag carries one QR code, and each person who scans it sees their own numbers.

Where we fit

From the warehouse to your lab

Green coffee

Raw, unroasted coffee in bags at the warehouse. This is what's bought, sold and stored, and what we sample.

Your sample roast

We deliver the sample. Your lab roasts it lightly and evenly to judge it against the contract.

Your cupping

Your lab cups and scores it. Your results and our grading sit under the same master number.

The sample's path

Warehouse to roaster, tracked at every stop

The coffee lands at a US warehouse. We draw the sample there, and every handoff is logged against the same master number.

Who it's for

Same sample, different view

Sign in and you see your part. Hidden numbers show as locked, so everyone knows the others exist.

Scan a sample

Point your phone. That's it.

The code holds no data, only a random ID. Our server checks who you are and shows only what you're allowed to see.

  • Works with the built-in camera on iPhone and Android. No app.
  • Opens in any browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Samsung Internet.
  • Big companies sign in with their work account. Small shops get an email link.
  • Someone who has never seen a coffee bean gets a plain-English page.
  • Every scan is logged: who, when, and what they saw.

Your numbers, your system

Everybody's numbers line up

Every sample has one CSS master number. Your PO, your contract, your lot and your invoice hang off it, so your spreadsheet matches ours without anyone retyping.

Label vs billing

LABELPrinted on the bag: the CSS master #, the buyer's PO and the contract or purchase number.

BILLINGNever printed: releases, invoices, letters of credit, upstream refs. Billing always keeps every number.

Each party sees its part

You choose which of your numbers go on labels, releases and invoices. A buyer who scans never sees the exporter's ref. A warehouse release can drop a number that billing still keeps.

Works with what you use

Keep your own column names and file type. Send us your sheet, or get ours in your format every day.

What we do

How we draw a sample

  1. Find the lot in the warehouse by its marks and bag count.
  2. Push a steel trier into the bags. Its slot fills with green coffee as it comes out.
  3. Fill and seal a sample bag with a QR label carrying the CSS master #.
  4. Grade and deliver. We check moisture, count defects and measure screen size, record weight and seals, then the bag goes to your lab.

The QR on this drawing is real. Scan it to open a demo sample.
